LAGUNA : Cathedral Cave under Sierra Madre

Walking might not be a good choice getting here. We rode an ATV (all-terrain vehicle) and a 4×4 truck. It was topsy-turvy, get ready to eat all muds and leaves while on the way haha. Unless you are with your crazy friends, you might just forget all those things and enjoy the experience. After all, you’ll be proud of yourself. At the site, you will be welcomed by a beautiful river with its chilled crystal clear water. It is so refreshing, you’ll never hesitate to jump in and wallow infinitely to reward yourself for surviving the road trip. There were no visitors that day. Don’t forget to bring your meals for lunch and snacks because this is an all day activity as explained by the tour advisor in the briefing session for the rules and regulations on Caving and spelunking. No need to worry about where to rinse yourself. On the way to the last chamber, what they call “Jacuzzi Room”, if you chose Spelunking (this word is new to me) you need to crawl to get inside the narrow junctions of the cave walls, swim on an eye leveled fresh water to the next chamber, climb on a more or less 18 feet stone formation, jump, hang, and even trip off yourself inside those dark chambers. What’s inside is wonderful and divine!
